East Jakarta Kejari Destroyed Evidences Resulted from 686 Cases

East Jakarta General Attorney Office (Kejari) destroyed the evidences resulted from 686 cases since January 2013 until June 2014. It is a routine done to evidences which cases already have permanent legal power.

The evidences were burned in six big drums put on parking lot of East Jakarta General Attorney Office, after previously swooshed with gasoline. The process is attended by some officials from Kejari, police, National Narcotics Agency (BNN), urban village, sub-district, and East Jakarta Health Sub-Department.

“All of these destroyed evidences are results of cases in 2013-2014. Every year we routinely destroyed evidences which cases already have permanent legal power,” stated Head of East Jakarta General Attorney Office General Crime Section, Zulfahmi, Thursday (6/26).

BNN: Drug Users to Reach 5 Million by 2015

Some of those evidences are marijuana weighing 40.8635 kilograms resulted from 427 cases, 170.9897 grams of heroin obtained from 24 cases, 222.0116 grams of crystalmeth from 229 cases, 804 ecstasy pills from 3 cases, 20 Alprazolam pills from 2 cases, and 1,000 dextromethorpan pills seized from 1 case.

“Drugs abuse in East Jakarta now tends to increase. The weight of these destroyed evidences is increasing for about five percent from previous evidences destroyed. But, I forgot the exact number,” uttered Zulfahmi.
